Why Didn't Blackpink's Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo Show Up at the 2024 Met Gala?

At the 2024 Met Gala, a notable absence was felt as three members of the sensational K-pop group BLACKPINK—Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo—were missing from the star-studded event. While Jennie represented the group in a stunning blue Alaïa gown, the rest of the group had commitments that kept them away. Lisa was soaking up the excitement at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami, Rosé was spotted at a high-profile Tiffany & Co. event signaling a possible appearance, and Jisoo was tied up with the filming of her new movie "Influenza" in South Korea.

Why Didn't Blackpink's Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo Show Up at the 2024 Met Gala?

The 2024 Met Gala went without the full star power of Blackpink. While Jennie dazzled in a striking blue Alaïa dress, her bandmates Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo were nowhere to be seen. Fans were eager to see Lisa and Jisoo make their first appearances at the event, especially after Rosé, who made her debut at the Met in 2021, was spotted at a Tiffany & Co. event just last week. Lisa was busy in Miami enjoying the Formula 1 Grand Prix, while Jisoo was occupied with the filming of her new movie, "Influenza," in Daejeon, South Korea.

Despite the trio's absence, Jennie’s presence made quite the splash. It was her second time at the Met, following her memorable first appearance in a vintage Chanel mini the previous year. Though all four members of Blackpink haven’t yet graced the Gala together, there’s a buzz of hope with Jisoo being an ambassador for Dior and Lisa representing Celine. Perhaps, in the near future, fans will get to see the entire group lighting up the Met carpet.

**Spotlight on Lisa**

Lisa has been all over the news. Recently, in a conversation with W Korea, she expressed how donning Celine makes her feel empowered, almost like she's owning the runway. "Wearing Celine turns me into a ‘cool kid.’ It’s not just their jeans and T-shirts; they carry a certain power, helping you embrace your true self," Lisa shared.

Saint Laurent's creative boss, Anthony Vaccarello, had glowing words for Rosé during his chat with ELLE. "Rosé is more than her public persona. She's reliable, insightful, and always catches you off guard with her bold, independent choices," he stated.
